We take pride in our bold vision and focused method to planning events regardless of size, scope, or budget. Each year we select a limited number of events to ensure each client receives our total attention.

Our work starts long before the event begins. We meet with you and listen carefully to your goals and wish list for an ideal affair. From there, we seek inspiration and ideas everywhere, designing and planning an unforgettable event. Often our hardest work is the work you don’t see, and we like it that way. Seamless execution inspires our tireless drive. We customize our planning and design services to each client’s individual needs. 

Initial Complimentary Meeting: This meeting is included with each service or  with  each package and is the perfect way to determine if Ebony Eyes Soul Food Event Catering & Jazzy Events and Decor are the right fit for your personality, your style and your event. Designed to be a comfortable, casual meeting specifically to come together to understand each other, we will touch on your goals, ideas, style, preferences, budget and many other topics that pertain to your event. This discussion will be as detailed as you want it to be. If we both feel that we can work well together then we set up our in depth Complimentary Consultation. After this meeting you are allowed unlimited calls and e-mails to answer any questions or concerns that we may not have covered in our meeting. Our Initial Complementary meeting will include the following brief discussions:

  • Presentation and explanation of your event profile
  • Budget concerns and expectations
  • Discuss guest list limitations determined by budget size
  • Style, vision and ideas for your wedding
  • Review decoration ideas, vision and colors
  • Discuss your overall wedding goals
  • Explanation of Ebony Eyes Soul Food Event Catering & Jazzy Events and Decor services and expectations
  • Review and discuss Ebony Eyes Soul Food Event Catering & Jazzy Events and Decor contracts
  • Review venue choices and options
  • Discuss optional payment plans


Wedding & Event Planning

Basic Day-Of Package Packages 

  • Complimentary consultation
  • Up to two hours of face-to-face planning meetings, plus unlimited phone and e-mail communication during the month leading up to your wedding
  • Complete walk-through of ceremony and reception sites at least two weeks prior to wedding date
  • Thorough review of vendor details
  • We will confirm all contract details and arrival times over the phone one week and one day prior to your wedding
  • We will instruct vendors to first contact us instead of you with any questions or concerns during the week prior to your wedding
  • Ceremony and reception set-up and decorating
  • Serve as point of contact for venue staff and all vendors; we will be the first to arrive and the last to leave
  • Set up all ceremony items including programs, unity candles, aisle runners, etc.
  • Set up all reception items including seating cards, place cards, gifts table and card box, wedding favors, etc.
  • Ceremony and reception coordination
  • Keep bridal party and vendors to your previously established time line
  • Distribute flowers, bouquets, and pin corsages and boutonnieres
  • Assist guests and answer questions as needed
  • Distribute remaining vendor balances and tips on bride and groom’s behalf at the end of the night
  • Resolve any ceremony- or reception-related problems that arise
  • After-event clean up
  • Assist site staff with general clean up
  • Deliver gifts and remaining ceremony and reception items to designated location 
  • Bridal party emergency kit always on hand


Extended Day-Of Package 

  • Includes everything in the Basic Package plus the following:
  • Two additional hours (up to four hours) of face-to-face planning meetings, plus unlimited phone and e-mail communication during the three months leading up to your wedding
  • Pre-wedding organization
  • Ensure copies of all vendor contracts are accounted for and signed
  • Create list of “yet-to-dos” for the bride and groom
  • Assist with seating charts, timelines for family and bridal party, and other planning documents
  • Rehearsal coordination in cooperation with officiant
  • Assist with rehearsal as needed
  • Ensure bridal party knows where they need to be and when on wedding day


Full Planning & Coordination (packages starting at $1,500.00)

 This is the perfect package for the bride that needs help throughout every step of the planning process. We will handle all the details of your event. We will assist you in finding the perfect wedding location that matches your style, we will help you find the right shade of Coastal Blue fabric from your Pinterest inspired wedding board, and all the fun details that fall in between. We will discuss your desires and create a proposal for your wedding. This package includes all of the planning for your wedding day right down to the “day-of” coordinating.


À La Carte Services

This service is for the bride who doesn't want to turn the reigns to her wedding over to someone new, but might need a little help along the way.

A-la-Carte Wedding Consulting is charged by the hour and would allow for us to meet with the bride and assist in decision making from a professional point of view. We can help create a realistic budget, provide a detailed month-to-month schedule to keep you and your loved ones on track throughout your engagement, and assist in contract negotiations. This service can easily be combined with our other packages. 

  • Etiquette and alternative tradition advice
  • Vendor referrals
  • Assistance with wording of save-the-dates, invitations, programs, and vows
  • Assembly and mailing of save-the-dates and invitations
  • Design and assembly of wedding favors, guest books, and more
  • Assistance with guest and bridal party transportation
  • Bridal party jewelry design and creation
  • Creation of guest bathroom amenity baskets
  • Creation of out of town baskets or bags and delivery to hotels
  • Coordination of ceremony rehearsal (included with the Extended Package) and rehearsal dinner coordination (billed separately at à la carte rate)
  • Coordination of post-wedding brunch


The Corporate Package 

Business Event Planning & Coordination

A company’s brand says a lot about their business. It conveys a mission statement, a diversity of services and a vision…and your next event should communicate that as well. Ebony Eyes Soul Food Event Catering & Jazzy Event and Decor can help you celebrate your brand with an event that is as unique as the services you offer.

Services include:

  • Unlimited consultations via face-to-face, phone and email
  • Design of overall theme and décor scheme
  • Selection and procurement of venue, vendors, special guest(s) and speaker(s)
  • Review and negotiate vendor contracts on your behalf
  • Cuisine & beverage selections and tastings, upon request
  • Creation of event surveys and evaluation, upon request
  • Event program coordination, upon request
  • Design and production recommendations for printing and promotional material and products
  • Facilitate and attend all vendor appointments
  • Logistical management, inclusive of: registration, audio/visual equipment, transportation, etc.
  • Provide day-of coordination to ensure the success of the event, inclusive of directing and prompt all vendors, speakers and special guests
  • Oversee the event site setup and breakdown
  • Distribute final payments and gratuities to vendors

Types of events may include, but are not limited to: Book and Product Launches, Grand Openings, Holiday Parties, Business Retreats, Company Picnics, Meetings & Seminars
